Principal Quantum Security Architect — Senior Technical Authority, LFI
LFI (La Force International) is seeking senior technical authority for the Quantum Security (PROTECT) service line, leading the design and delivery of enterprise post‑quantum cryptographic migration programs.
About the company
LFI (La Force International) is an international quantum technology economics firm advancing industrial economics with quantum. LFI is a specialist quantum consultancy for the industrial and manufacturing sectors: working inside organisation to build understanding, accelerate adoption, and unlock the commercial potential of quantum technologies.
The lean core team, backed by a global network of contracted PhD specialists across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA.
Job Details
Specialty Area: Quantum Security
Department: Commercial
Functional Group: Commercial
Location: Global (Remote)
Reports to: Managing Partner
Engagement: Full-time department, flexible start date with onboarding period
Your job scope:
Lead the design and delivery of post quantum cryptographic migration engagements for enterprise clients across advanced manufacturing, mining, and industrial sectors
Translate complex cryptographic risk into strategic, board-level business decisions for global organisations
Deploy best-in-class quantum-safe security capabilities while building LFI’s proprietary PROTECT methodology, assessment IP, and client delivery playbooks.
Build the delivery frameworks, tools, and playbooks that scale LFI's quantum security globally
Build partner integration protocols and client IP expanding across Americas, APAC, and EMEA
Your responsibilities will involve:
Quantum Security Delivery:
Lead end‑to‑end post‑quantum cryptography (PQC) migration projects
Manage delivery across vCQO clients, PROTECT engagements, and audit‑to‑security pathways
Turns complex PQC risk into actionable decisions for boards and clients to understand what’s at risk, what it costs, and what to do next
Identify technical delivery risks early and implement mitigation with the Managing Partner
Palo Alto Network Partnership
Coordinate how teams work together, manage joint delivery protocols, and technology integration standards for the PROTECT service line
Install and configure quantum‑safe security tools (Strata Cloud Manager, PAN‑OS Quantum Safe VPN, quantum-optimised NGFW, Cipher Translation Proxy)
Drive joint go-to-market initiatives with Palo Alto to find clients, strengthen LFI’s visibility and credibility in the market
Keep real‑time update of the quantum‑security vendor landscape to inform LFI’s build-buy partner decisions
Stay current with NIST PQC standards (ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA), CNSA 2.0 mandates, and international regulatory requirements (DORA, NIS2)
Cryptographic Risk Assessment & Advisory
Evaluate an organisation’s cryptographic risks
Assess which long‑lived data assets are at risk, estimate timelines to cryptographically relevant quantum computers (CRQC)
Commercial & Sales Enablement
Support engagement scoping, pricing, and proposal development
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities: converting Quantum Readiness Audits, and flagging Quantum Utility (OPTIMIZE) opportunities
Cloud Bench Security Specialist Network
Build, vet, and maintain Cloud Bench network, ensure its outputs meet LFI’s technical, clarity, and commercial standards
IP Development & Market Intelligence
Build and refine LFI's PROTECT IP library: assessment templates, CBOM frameworks, PQC migration roadmap standards, client briefing decks, and technical reference architectures for scalable global delivery
Monitor quantum security regulatory developments, threat intelligence, publishing internal intelligence briefs
Managerial Responsibilities
At first: You work as an individual contributor, but with technical authority over Cloud Bench security specialists and Palo Alto Networks
As the PROTECT program grows: You will start managing specialist resources directly and oversee delivery quality and ensure PROTECT engagements meet margin targets.
Ongoing responsibilities:
You are accountable for the technical integrity of all PROTECT deliverables, ensure the commercial health of LFI’s partner ecosystem.
You guide the development of the PROTECT IP roadmap (frameworks, methodologies, templates).
Selection Criteria:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Postgraduate qualification in cybersecurity or cryptography is highly desirable.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or vendor-specific Palo Alto Networks PCNSE credentials are advantageous.
Experience:
8+ years in cybersecurity, cryptographic infrastructure, or information security, including at least
3 years of hands‑on PQC (post‑quantum cryptography) work (e.g., cryptographic inventory, PKI/TLS migration, or OT/ICS security in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or defence environments).
Experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies (PAN‑OS, NGFW, Prisma Access, Strata Cloud Manager) is highly desirable.
Proven ability to work with C‑suite leaders (CISO, CTO, COO) and translate complex cryptographic risks into clear, board‑level business recommendations.
Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of PQC standards (ML‑KEM, ML‑DSA, SLH‑DSA) and classical crypto (RSA, ECC, TLS/SSL, PKI, IPsec/IKEv2), with the ability to design hybrid classical–PQC migration architectures.
Familiarity with OT/ICS security frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800‑82) and legacy system challenges requiring cipher translation or hardware modernisation.
Hands‑on experience with cryptographic inventory tools, CBOM assessments, identifying vulnerable cipher suites, and building risk‑aligned migration roadmaps.
Ability to communicate cryptographic risk in executive‑level language and create board‑ready briefings and roadmaps.
Commercial skills in scoping, pricing and expanding PROTECT engagements.
Knowledge of quantum‑readiness regulations (CNSA 2.0, NIST SP 800‑208, DORA, NIS2, CISA guidelines).
Comfortable working in a lean, fast‑paced environment, building processes and managing multiple global engagements
