Australia is set to become a global quantum powerhouse, with substantial federal and state government investment directed towards research and commercialisation, according to the 2024 State of Australian Quantum report.

A federal government grant of $18.4 million has been allocated under the Australian Centre for Quantum Growth (ACQG) programme to support the Quantum Australia project.

The Albanese Government is backing local innovation in quantum and counter disinformation technologies that are key to giving Defence an edge and which will also be critical to a future made in Australia.
