Data Storytelling & Insights Intern
Love data? Here’s your chance to use it to tell a story that matters.
Quantum Australia is shaping the future of technology – and you don’t need to be a physicist to be part of it. We’re looking for a creative, data-driven thinker who’s passionate about turning numbers into insights that inspire action. This is your opportunity to apply your current skills in a real-world setting while learning how data can drive national impact in a fast-growing industry.
As our Data Storytelling & Insights Intern, you’ll help us keep our ecosystem data accurate, meaningful, and easy to understand so leaders across government, industry, research, and startups can make smarter decisions and achieve bold goals.
Supporting the Impact Analysis Lead, your projects will involve:
Checking, cleaning, and validating Salesforce data.
Updating and maintaining stakeholder records.
Ensuring dashboards are accurate, up to date, and clearly visualised.
Assisting with reporting, data-driven presentations, and impact analysis.
What you’ll gain:
Hands-on experience in data management, analytics, and reporting.
Practice in turning raw data into stories that influence decisions.
Skills in Salesforce and data visualisation tools.
Real-world insight into how data drives impact at a national and global scale.
Exposure to a globally connected technology sector and professionals.
A chance to see your work shape Australia’s profile in the quantum technology ecosystem.
If you are a current student in data science, analytics, business, IT, or a related field - this opportunity could be for you! You don’t need quantum knowledge – we’re more interested in students who are:
Passionate about data and curious about its applications.
Creative in finding ways to present and communicate information.
Detail-oriented and reliable in managing datasets.
Confident communicators who can bring fresh ideas to the table.
What we offer:
Collaborative and inclusive offices, co-located with startups and businesses in the tech space. Centrally located in Darlington at the University of Sydney.
A dynamic, supportive, and engaged team at Quantum Australia.
Ongoing guidance and support throughout your internship.
1-2 days internship per week, with flexibility around your commitments and study.
