Innovation Engagement Intern
Thought Quantum was just for scientists? Think again.
Quantum Australia is shaping the future of technology – and you don’t need a physics degree to be part of it. Behind every breakthrough are people who keep projects running, connect communities, and make ideas happen. That’s where you come in.
This internship is for curious students who want to apply their organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a real-world setting. You’ll help turn ideas into actions, support events and projects, and bring your fresh perspective to a fast-growing, future-focused industry.
Reporting to the Ecosystem Development Lead, your projects will involve:
Managing stakeholder records and ecosystem opportunities in CRM systems.
Supporting finance tasks such as expense coding and budget updates.
Coordinating meetings, agendas, and action tracking.
Assisting the NSW team with project and operational support.
What you’ll gain:
Hands-on experience in operations, communications, and project support.
The chance to apply your current skills in a new, globally connected industry.
Real-world insight into strategy and ecosystem development.
Opportunities to test fresh ideas and see them make an impact.
A stronger CV and networks across business, government, and startups.
If you’re a current undergraduate or postgraduate student in business, commerce, management, policy, communications, or a related field – this could be for you! You’ll ideally be proactive, able to work independently and in a team, and keen to learn new tools. You don’t need to know anything about quantum technologies, we’re looking for someone who:
Loves organising, planning, and making things happen.
Communicates clearly and confidently (written and verbal).
Brings creativity and fresh ideas to the table.
Is detail oriented.
What we offer:
Collaborative and inclusive offices, co-located with startups and businesses in the tech space. Centrally located in Darlington at the University of Sydney.
A dynamic, supportive, and engaged team at Quantum Australia.
Ongoing guidance and support throughout your internship.
1-2 days internship per week, with flexibility around your commitments and study.
A written reference letter to recognise your contribution and experience.
